Open seats: Community and Operator
The app works on one street. Two neighbourhoods need someone who makes neighbours want to lend, and someone to run it: deposits, a lost drill, the rules.
- Goal for 30 days in Orbit
- 2 neighbourhoods with 50 active lenders
- Time it needs from you
- 8–12 hours a week
- A typical first week
- Community: Knock on ten doors on the live street and ask why they lent or didn’t. Start the street’s group chat and draft the invitation a neighbour would pass on to the next street.
- Operator: Walk the one street running Porchlight and list every deposit and lost-item problem so far. Write the lending rules a new neighbourhood will follow.
The patch for this Orbit
The patch is stamped on day 30 with the real number. The goal to beat: 2 neighbourhoods with 50 active lenders.
Every seat is a residency. How residency works
The split at Landing
Landing is the day the company forms. Standard build. A Working MVP in testing: listings, deposit holds and a map to keep running on one street. Half is built, half is out there.
- The crew: 45%
- Community: 22.5%
- Operator: 22.5%
- Pool for later hires: 10%
From the crew
“The lending flow took two weekends. Trust between neighbours is not something we know how to ship.”
